I have to do something, for both Tony and myself. Every night we still say our prayers together, before he goes to bed. Now, this little ritual we started comes after yet another dressing change on the, (seriously ugly) wound on my back.
A few weeks ago I downloaded a book called, "We don't die, a skeptics discovery of life after death", and have been showing it to Tony, as something he should take a look at. So tonight, after dinner, I handed him my Kindle, and told him to go into our room and read. So he did. About 30 minutes or so later, he came out and said he had read up to the second chapter, (which includes a forward, an introduction and then the first chapter), and he asked if I was ready to have my dressing changed.
So as he is getting everything set out to do this, he started telling me about something he had read in the book. And saying I should read it too. I said I was planning on doing so.
After my dressing change, he got ready for bed, and I came in and asked if he was ready to say our prayers now, and then told him that I hoped he would continue reading the book tomorrow. I think he will. He had some very positive things to say so far about the book, and then said it isn't dumb like that other book I downloaded a sample of.
Well, that a least is a good beginning!
Time for me to get off to bed myself. Goodnight Jennifer, we love you!!
