It has been quite awhile since my last post. Things have been hectic of late, we have been to a second meeting with the new support group, and I really am so thankful that we found out about it. It is a very good group of wonderful people, all parents who are on the same path we find ourselves on. We feel very comfortable with everyone, it almost feels like we have been with this group for a lot longer than just two meetings. It is truly a blessing, and even better, they meet weekly.
We had some unexpected company this past week. My brother-in-law was coming to Vegas for a conference and surprised my dear sister-in-law with her coming along also. He arraigned everything, calling her boss and arranging her time off and someone to look after their daughter, my niece. It was so wonderful to see Barb and spend time with her. She always makes me feel good and we do have a lot of fun together.
So we were able to visit and do things everyday that they were here. She even made dinner for us one night. She is so easy to talk to and Jennifer always spent several weeks with them every year. We reminisced and laughed together, and had a great afternoon at the mall one day, each finding several really great bargains. Then we all had dinner together last night and I took them to the airport this afternoon. I already miss them.
It was nice to take a little break from our life, and look forward to hearing from them again soon and hopefully we can one day soon go and visit them, in Maryland.
That's about all there is for now, will get back into writing again soon.
Jennifer would have loved this visit, but I know she was here anyways.
I miss her so very much. I love you honey bear!
